BISC is an academically selective co-educational day school for pupils aged 3-18. From Foundation Stage to the end of Key Stage 4, the school follows the UK National Curriculum. In the Sixth Form, BISC has over twenty years experience with the IB Diploma programme.

The main application process begins in the January prior to September entry. Parents interested in mid-year admission should contact the Admissions Office.   

Application Deadlines:

The priority application deadline for September entry is 15 March 2010. Applications received after this date will be held on file and applicants will be assessed for admission subject to the availability of places.  For admission to the IB Diploma programme, please contact the Admissions Office regarding the application deadline.

Parents are encouraged to visit the school on a normal school day and to gather information about the admissions process. Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange.  School visits are arranged by appointment only.

Open Mornings are held during the Autumn and Spring terms at pre-advertised dates for anyone interested in admissions.  The Open Mornings are a wonderful opportunity to view the school, learn about the curriculum and meet the Principal, Heads of Schools and other key personnel.  Our next Open Morning will be held on:

Applications and all supporting documents should be submitted to the Admissions Office by email or by hard copy.  Subject to the availability of places, the school will conduct age-based assessments for each applicant.  Please note that an invitation for assessment does not guarantee the availability of places, and children may be placed on the waiting list until space becomes available.

1 passport-size photo of the child
A copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport
A copy of the child’s most recent academic reports (not required for Foundation Stage entry) 

Application Step 1

Submit an application and all supporting documents.  Applications will not be considered until all required documents have been submitted.  We will acknowledge receipt of each application and hold it on file for entry to the requested academic year. 

Application Step 2

Assessments will be scheduled subject to the availability of places.  Please note that an invitation for assessment does not guarantee the offer of a place.  It is possible that an applicant will be assessed and offered a place on the waiting list. 

The Registration Fee of £100 (payable in Egyptian Pounds equivalent, by Sterling Cheque or bank transfer) must be settled on or before or on the date of the assessment.  The Registration Fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee the offer of a place.  For Foundation Stage 1 (only) the Registration Fee is payable upon the offer of a place.

Application Step 3

Places are offered subject to successful completion of the application procedures. 

For mid-year applicants, admissions decisions are released approximately one week after the family interview & assessment.  Mid-year admission is only considered for applicants transferring to BISC from abroad or for current BISC families.

Please note that several year groups are currently full or have limited availability of places.  Applications will be accepted for all year groups and held on file in the case that places do become available.  While we are able to give parents a realistic update on the availability of places at the time of application, please note that this information is subject to change.
